Macey St. John has always loved helping people in need.

“It’s an incredible experience to see people overcome obstacles and go back to their everyday lives,” she said.

Macey gets to witness this kind of recovery every day at Indiana Eye Clinic. She joined the IEC family three-and-a-half years ago, and she currently serves as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), which involves scheduling procedures, sterilizing equipment and assisting with surgery, among other things.

For Macey, her job is about much more than providing eye care services. It’s about showing compassion and building strong relationships.

“What I enjoy most about working at IEC are the connections I make, both with co-workers and our patients,” she said. “I really value the people here.”

Macey’s co-workers feel like close friends to her now. They bring a smile to her face every day and sometimes spread the giggles among each other as well.

Outside of work, Macey enjoys spending time with her family and fur babies. Her new puppy is taking up most of her free time these days, but she isn’t complaining.

Macey is grateful to work somewhere that feels just as warm and welcoming as her home.
